It’s extremely rare to see one of these in person and even more rare to see one come up for sale in this condition with new engine, drivetrain and new paint. This is a full 2 year restomod that came out beautiful and has been garaged ever since! The restoration, engine and transmission have less than 300 miles on them and are extremely dependable. I have drove it on 30 mile trips each way and it drives and rides perfect. 1946 cj2a jeep body that has an upgraded frame and drivetrain of a 1970 vw. Why the upgrade? - “the vw is the perfect platform to build cool and crazy things” - Chip Foose. These engines, drivetrains and platforms are used for road racing, 9 second qtr mile runs, off road and numerous other categories that have been proven time and time again with stellar results. - the upgraded frame, suspension, drivetrain and engine offer endless safety, handling and performance over the factory equipped setup. - The originally willys jeep engine and drivetrain are very very very clunky and not dependable as modern vehicles - 12 volt conversion - The upgraded frame and suspension handles far superior than the original. - The upgraded engine and transmission are very easy to find parts for and are capable of making extremely much more torque and hp than the original. - aftermarket upgrades are endless - extremely road friendly and able to drive down any road at 65-70 with ease. - the top speed and cruising speed is much more comfortable on a vw frame, suspension and drivetrain. -There is no possible way a factory willys jeep from the 40s and 50s will keep up with this one on the hwy, off-road or even acceleration power. - outperforms the old original setup in every way.
If an unfortunate person pulls up next to you in another willys jeep, please feel a little sorry for them because this thing will dominate them in every aspect. It looks intimidating even coming up from the rear. The interior is rhino lined for easy cleaning and durability. The exterior paint is a midnight blue that looks dark blue at day and near black at night. The color is perfect to show off the 40-50 heritage and willys icon these represent. This vehicle is perfect for a cruise, parade, car show, or just a nice day or night out anytime, and unlike the other willys jeeps, you don’t have to avoid any hwy speeds or anything because this will jump right on the freeway and easily keep up with any traffic. The engine is placed directly over the rear axle for great handling and optimum traction in any terrain. There was no bondo or any filler used prior to paint. Finding a 40-50s body without some kind of repair on these is like finding a needle in a haystack. The body was simply sandblasted down and then 2 coats of primer, 4 coats of PPG paint with a satin clear. The front windshield does fold down flat as well. The rear seat comes off very easy with no tools to do any kind of tune up or anything on the engine. The upholstery is perfect as well with no holes, cuts, rips or anything else. Pictures really don’t do this vehicle justice. Unlike a razor, atv or utv, this thing is street legal and not only can it do all those things the razor or atv or utv does, you don’t have to trailer it anywhere for it to do it. This is pretty much having the best of both worlds. This willys also comes with a tow bar so for you die hard campers, all you need to do is hook it up to a hitch and your all done :)
Buyer beware- this will cause serious envy from your neighbors and local car shows. This thing is a head turner everywhere it goes. People will slow down or speed up on the road next to you to dang near break there neck staring; and don’t even think your going to be able to go to the gas station without someone complementing you about it.
