Vehicle description
Rat Rod for sale in California.1946 chopped, channeled pickup. 350 SBC with no leaks or smoke. New noizy gear drive and Thumper Cam. The motor sounds awsome. 350 automatic with shift kit. New 9" Ford rearend. New stall converter. Model A Front end.
New 550 Edelbrock Carb, New Petronix Distributor. New wires. Wheels and tire have about 1000 miles on them. Electric fan that runs the car about 190 Degrees. Aluminum radiator. 12 Gallon fuel tank. Disc brakes on the front. Lake headers purchased 2 months ago. Car runs down the highway at 65. Very reliable. A few months ago I had a shop correct the caster and installed new radius bars all new bolts and had the spring mount reworked.
Things to do to finish the rod: The car has always had a plexiglass windshield. Works fine but for $75 could be replaced, or you can take the window frame out in about 10 minutes and take it to a glass shop and have one cut to fit.
Also there are no side windows. What I was going to do is order the inside door hardware and re-install it after cutting it to fit and have plexi or real glass put in it.
The only other thing is, when I installed the new carb I did not hook up the manual choke. When cold the choke should be set just until the engine fires.
I really enjoy this car and am only selling because my wife and I are purchasing a Restaurant and this will help with some work we need to do. Feel free to call with any question, show contact info . I lowered the price almost $4000 from a few months ago and am at my lowest point. I"m not asking very much. Good Luck. Feel free to call or text, 760-937-1449. Feel free to make me an offer.
