Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1943 Willys MB is an original. The owner has had it for 5 years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes buyers are welcome to inspect prior to bidding. buyer agrees to a $500 non refundable deposit due by wire transfer at end of auction. Balance due prior to delivery by wire transfer only. buyer is responsible for local pick up. Exterior 1943 MB The good: it runs. It drives. It stops. It looks drcent. good tires. It’s a blast to drive. Fresh steering box Overhaul. Fresh repaired starter& battery. Clear Iowa title (listing it as a 1943 Willy’s MB ) street legal in Iowa. Has a newish top. Buick V6, the not so good: everything that has fluid in in it on the thing leaks like a Harley. The tranny shifts fine but is finicky. left exhaust manifold leaks and need repair but is patched for now. Jeep has never been restored but plenty of repairs. non standard gauges, gun mount with no “legs” ( my dog would’ve tripped over em) has tru MB frame and gun mount. prop gun(s) included. has a smallish fabricated non-original fuel tank (parades aren’t that long). Park brake is all there but it defies my effort to make it work. Comes just as you see it. Bunch of mil surp comes with (1919 prop gun, Tommy gun prop, gun rack, tools, jack, tire pump, ammo cans, field radio etc) . It was mostly used for parades and as a museum display honoring Vets and was maintained as such. PLEASE NOTE this is a PARADE Jeep not a purest Jeep. I hear guys talk about having projects for years that they have never driven. Well, here’s your chance to drive one for a while till you have the inclination to restore it.
