Vehicle description
For sale is this wonderful 1941 Packard 120 Series 1901. I named her "Della Street", after the wonderful character on the old Perry Mason TV show. It is a fine example of a prewar Packard that helped sustain Packard as a premier auto maker. It is wearing an older restoration of silver over grey paint. There are two tiny flaws in the paint about the size of a coin. The chrome is straight and shiny. There is no rust anywhere on the body or underneath. The car is equipped with heater and defroster, Motorola radio, clock, and electric wipers. The interior is blue and grey cloth in good condition. The headliner has a 4" hole in the rear in need of repair. The steering wheel has been rebuilt. The original engine and transmission have been rebuilt along with the brakes, fuel tank, and suspension. The car has been completely rewired using harnesses made from the original Packard schematics. The 6-volt electrical system has been retained with the exception od a dedicated 12-volt starter and battery for easier starts. Upgrades include the dedicated 12-volt starter, wide whitewall radial tires, custom radiator made to original specifications for improved cooling, and front disc brakes. This car is a terrific driver and shows well, just like Della Street. I have owned this car for many years. It has been lovingly restored, cared for, driven, and enjoyed. Moving and illness forces sale. The car is located in Hammond, Indiana, nearby Chicago. It can be picked up or easily shipped. Buyer pays shipping costs. Happy bidding and happy motoring!
