This beautiful Special is loaded with: 85hp 239ci V8, 3 speed manual transmission and not much else! The Special was Ford"s value leader and came nearly devoid of chrome and stainless trim, had black painted wheels with simple center caps and no trim rings, and even only one wiper and one taillight. It was also Ford"s lightest car thanks to the lack of trim or split folding seat. Ford made 689,571 cars in 1941, but only 9,823 of them were Special coupes like this, and far fewer still with the more powerful 85hp engine (a new inline six was standard in 1941). This car features gorgeous paint that"s much nicer than new, a fully restored interior with new seat covers, a new headliner and new door panels, a fully rebuilt engine that looks new, and a restored chassis with zero needs. This is a gorgeous example of a hot rodder"s favorite that hasn"t been cut up or modified in its 80 years on the planet.
