Vehicle description
I bought this truck 10 years ago at an estate auction and hauled it out of a collapsing shed where it had set for years. It has been in my shed since. I had the engine running for a few minutes back then by pouring gas into the carb. I recently turned the engine with the hand crank to be sure it still turned. I removed the gas tank at that time and had it rebuilt by Moyers in PA. I never put it back in. The truck is very solid and very complete. There is no rust in the doors or cab mount area. Head light buckets seem solid. I have a very good used battery tray for it. The tailgate is nearly perfect. The bedsides and headboard are rotted on the bottom because it sat for years with rotting hay in it. There is a little rust on the drivers side front fender where it meets the running board and a little rust through the top of the rear window. Both rear running board brackets are tender and there is rust through at that point on the drivers side. I have tried to show all these areas in the pictures. Included are two solid used brackets and I have a used pair of running boards if the buyer wants them for patch material. Neither door latches but I have complete latch assemblies for both doors. The windshield frame is rotted through on the bottom channel but still could be used. All the glass is junk. The truck has 15 inch wheels and the front brakes were locked up so I pulled the drums and took out the shoes, which bent the shoes. The drums seem to be in very good condition but need a good cleaning. The engine is not original . It came out of a one ton truck so I assume it is a 230 Mileage is unknown. It is still titled to the deceased previous owner since I never registered it. The ID # on the title does not match the VIN # on the truck. I assume that maybe the original engine # was used on the original title. I have seen this before. Starting bid is the reserve. Vehicle must be removed within 30 days of auction closing.
