Up for auction is another car from my friend’s impressive collection of antique and classic cars. This particular car, a 1941 Cadillac Series 60 Fleetwood, has been in his collection for over 11 years and it is believed to have only 72k miles on the odometer since new. Throughout its lifetime, it has been awarded National First Place honors from both CCCA and AACA. It"s a wonderful example of an original, unmodified Fleetwood (the exception being a set a seatbelts added for safety), finished in Gunmetal gray, that starts, runs and drives beautifully. With its150hp 346 cu 8cyl and optional Hydra-Matic transmission, it is the perfect touring sedan.
The owner is very meticulous about service and maintenance with his collection and this car is no exception. He has all receipts for maintenance and repairs preformed during his ownership. Some of the work done to the car include: rebuilt carb, new fuel pump, replaced worn out distributor gear and re-chromed front bumper assembly as well as maintenance item like oil & lube jobs and replacement of the belts, hoses and wires. In addition to the receipts, he also has an original shop manual, operating manual and a Cadillac radio instruction book that go with the car.
