Vehicle description
This Woodie is powered by the original 201.3CI 6 cylinder engine rated at 84HP at 3,600RPM mated to a three speed column shift manual transmission, independent coil-spring front suspension, semi-floating rear axle with semi-elliptical leaf-spring suspension, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 117 in. The P10 woody station wagon offered high style and functionality for buyers whose driving spanned both town and country. Low sales figures meant relatively few were sold, making examples like this P10 Deluxe very rare. It is one of only 3126 built in 1940 and there are only 13 1940 Plymouth woodies still listed in The National Woodie Club roster.
The attention to detail on this vehicle is incredible. It was subject to a complete frame off restoration using only correct and NOS parts in the mid - late 90"s. It is still in unbelievably excellent condition. Best of all this wagon retains 90 percent of the original wood. Finished in the factory color, Regal Maroon accented by an Ash and Maple wood body. Its steam-bent roof bows and warm-toned paneling are matched by the tan interior upholstery. A nice black vinyl roof and black running boards provide sharp contrast. The woodwork has been freshly varnished and overall remains in superb condition. It also has the all important 3rd row seat which is another Woodie-only component getting impossible to find. This would be an amazing addition to any collection for sure.
