(423) 506-8987 (423) 252-1305 1940 CHEVROLET SPECIAL BUSINESS COUPE Exterior Color: BURGANDY Interior Color: BROWN Body Type: COUPE Transmission: AUTOMATIC Drivetrain: REAR WHEEL Engine: 327 Mileage: 150,571 1940 CHEVROLET BUSINESS COUPE Vehicle Description 1940 CHEVROLET BUSINESS COUPE powered by a 327 engine, connected with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission and 10 bolt GM rear-end. It has a GM front end clip that makes it drive good.
HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! OIL, TEMP AND VOLT GAUGES WORK! SPEEDOMETER NOT WORKING! WIPER MOTOR IS BAD! NEEDS GAS SENDING UNIT!
HOW IS THE PAINT? Nice upper end driver, not wavy down the sides, good shine, I see no dents or dings, some touched up chips and specs.
HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Not original seats, good seat covers with no wear that set good, power, but never connected. Headliner very good, carpet usable, but not perfect, door panels wood panels, trim has a brushed wood grain.
HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? To me it drives good, front clip looks like a Nova, the standard 70s GM front end.
HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its a good running 327, air cleaner decal does say 350. I ran the casting numbers and its a 327 by what I found. Its runs good, no bad oil leaks, no bad blue smoke, its clean. It had a old Holley on it with no choke, I put a new 4 barrel Holley with electric choke on it. I hear no knocks, but I do hear a little valve tick.
HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a good shifting Turbo 350 automatic.
THE REAR END IS A GM 10 BOLT WITH GOOD GEARING.
