Up for auction is a cool old 1939 Ford pickup truck. This truck runs, drives and stops but it"s still a project truck that needs some finishing. It has a clear Wisconsin title and actual mileage is not known.
The body on this truck is all steel and fairly solid. All four fenders have had metal work, body work and primer and are in very good condition. The running boards were very good and were sandblasted, primed and painted blue. There is some rust through on the bottom of the doors. Cab has had some metal patches put in the floors over the years but is in pretty good shape. Hood and grill are also good- some dings here and there but overall pretty good. The frame is very good- not rusty. Someone did cut into the X member for the exhaust on the right side but the main rails are very good.
The drivetrain is an older Chevrolet 283 cu. in. engine with an automatic transmission. We don"t know the history but it appears to have been put in the truck quite a few years ago. It starts and runs very well. The truck also has power brakes with a new master cylinder and booster- disc brakes in the front and drum in the rear which work very well and it has manual steering.
There is a newer seat in the truck that"s in good condition. Some of the gauges work and some don"t. The lights are not working so the truck does need some wiring work to be road worthy.
What you see is what you get- it"s a good start for someone that wants to start with a pretty solid running and driving truck.
