You are bidding on a 1939 Ford Convertible Coupe. All steel, rust free body, steel fenders, 1990"s Chevy TPI 350V8, automatic overdrive, mustang II front, 4 wheel power disc brakes, Currie posi rear end, rumble seat, correct folding top, updated gauges. Car has an older paint job with a few imperfections in it, new interior, new carpet, top, door panels, tilt wheel, idid it column, new tires, new battery, new wiring, power windows, steel wheels with pinstripes. As you can see from the pictures, the car has a lot of eye ball. Nice stance, straight body, red paint, nice chrome, hard to beat the look. That being said this is not a $250,000 show car. It is not perfect in every way. Like every car, they all need something, a little this or that, this car is no exception. It is however the very rare and hard to find last year Ford Convert with the rumble seat. It new floors front to back, zero rust issues. The car is very cold blooded, the brakes are a little touchy, the fit on the hood is not great on the drivers side, the running boards could be replaced, and the engine could use a good detail, she smokes a little every now and again and the tranny seems to be a little temperamental sometimes. I"m sure I"ve forgotten a few good and bad things, you can"t name them all. All I can say for sure is that my dad and I did some of the work on the car and we did the best we could do. It"s fun to drive, has lots of get up and go and always draws attention. If you"re looking for a half million dollar show car but only want to Spend $50,000 than you"re only fooling yourself that a car like that is out there. If you can appreciate what a rust free steel body 39 Ford Convertible is worth, and have the realistic understanding that a perfect car doesn"t exist, that this car might need a little of this or that to make perfect for you, than this little hot rod just might be for you. Clean and clear California title in my name, current reg, garage kept, pet free car, smoke free car. Car is selling as is where is, there are no warranties implied expressed or given. Car must be paid for and picked up within 2 weeks of auction end. Inspections of the car are encouraged and welcome. I am just outside of Sacramento, CA.
