Studebaker. 1938 This is a THREE OWNER car that is a completely numbers matching car. The only thing changed on this car since the day it was built is that it has turn singles added. The car had a repaint done on it in the 1970"s and paint is still good. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN STORED OUTSIDE! ! ! ! ! ! I have the original Bill of sale from the day it was purchased NEW! ! ! ! ! ! A gentleman named Ruel P. Merkle bought it new on Sept 1 1938 for the total price of $1106. It still has the very FIRST tag ever put on it. It has Sun Visor $2.25, A-M radio $59.50 , Fog Lights dealer installed, Heater $20.00 , Grill guard $2.25, and Had seat covers $10.00, It was later sold to AVANTI MOTOR CORP. (Studebaker) and was in there private collection until Aug 2003 when I purchased it. I took it to car shows for years but it"s time to sell it. The car was running and driving when I parked it years ago but now it will need tires and a good tune up and battery ( 6 volt and has a POS GROUND ) I don"t think there is any rust at all on it and one small dent right rear fender where i bumped pole backing it into basement years ago and the drivers back of seat needs recovered.
