Vehicle description
This auction is for a 1937 Willys 4 door, I purchased it with 5 cars from the widow of the collector and this car is a very solid example that has not been cut up chopped up or messed with. He was going to restore it back to it"s original glory, but as with many projects and time is not on our side, this needs to be done. It"s to cool not to be finished. I do have the original motor and trans that are out of the car, he took it out to rebuild it and it sits on the engine stand, all together not taken apart so all the parts are still there and is matted to the original trans, if you want that you will need to make sure you or your shipping company has a way to transport it. I believe it has the original 5 tires on it ? and the miles are supposedly actual of only 49000 but I have no way to know this. There are many parts I will have to go through and have a extra motor and trans that I will sell also that does not with this car. As you can see in the pictures the interior is very nice and the paint is ok I think would clean up with some wet sanding and a buff, or just do it right and start over, but if someone want to build a street rod this would be a great car but I feel it"s better suited for a original type of restoration. I reserve the right to end the auction ant any time it is advertised locally. Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns or if you need any additional pictures.
In 1937, Willys redesigned the 4-cylinder model. It gained a semistreamlined body with a slanted windshield, headlamps integrally embedded into the fenders, and a one-piece, rounded hood transversely hinged at the rear.
