Powered by a 370hp Chevrolet Corvette LS1 V8 matched to a 4L60e automatic overdrive, the car starts, runs, and performs like a modern machine, and can be serviced virtually anywhere a 1997-2004 Corvette can be! Flowmaster mufflers give it the perfect rumble, with just enough bite on acceleration, and the powertrain has proven to be infallible, including a trip from Ohio to Florida by the prior owner!
The Coast-to-Coast body is well-known for being the best, and one look at the fit, finish, alignment, and finish on this machine lets you know why. There is simply no nicer body on the market, and this particular car has doors that pop easily at the push of the remote, close with the lightest touch, and fit completely rattle free. Power trunk lid operates off the remote with ease, and hood unlatches and opens to expose the engine bay then seals tightly when finished.
PPG Nutmeg Gold was applied by the legendary Ray Nash, of Nash"s Corvette Restoration, and it looks wet, shiny, and clean from every angle.
Having been driven, not just pushed from a trailer to a parking spot, there are a handful or so minor marks from normal driving like a stone chip or small blemish. These are ALL just a few millimeters in size, and are mostly out of line of sight, but I want to let you know it has them. The chassis is clean and nice as well, but does show dirt, grime, and some blemishes from being driven on the road that won"t show on a trailer queen. It still wows anyone that looks underneath at a car show or cruise night.
Not only does this car have a full Carson Removable Hardtop, it also has a full black convertible top as well as the ability to be a complete, top-free Roadster too! All of it can be changed in a matter of minutes with a helper too!
The stance on the car is perfect, and it rests on a set of show-polished Billet-Specialties rims with polished full back plates. Firestone Firehawk tires get the power to the road, and are size 215/45R17 up front, and 275/35R20 out back. Progressive coil-overs, tubular A-arms, and a fully boxed and painted frame from C2C that fits a 9 inch smoothed rear, power disc brakes, and power rack and pinion steering underneath to give it a modern ride and handling feel really similar to a C5 Corvette, and the car takes the twist and turns just as good as it takes a thumbs up cruising down the boulevard.
Inside, a full custom fabricated interior by Phil Pope is the PERFECT place to pilot this machine from, with custom made buckets and flamed console cover and door panels wrapped in Tobacco, Cocoa, and Creme REAL Leather and Ostrich that shows like new. Thick, banded, automotive grade carpeting covers the floor, and it all got installed over a full cabin covered in DynaMat for sound and heat suppression. All that beauty carries over into the fully finished trunk as well, with a hidden battery compartment, and dual kill switches set for different components.
A slim Dakota Digital Dash looks perfect in the car, and functions quite well to monitor vitals. All of the switchgear is billet, and the Chrome tilt steering column looks beautiful capped off by its leather-wrapped polished billet wheel.
