“ Dressed in Vermilion Red over black wings, the truck’s paint and trim are in very good order. The cargo bed looks good, the engine bay is tidy and the chrome bumpers are in fine shape. The split windshield is clear and crack-free and note there is only a driver’s side windshield wiper. This truck rolls on a 112-inch wheelbase. Under the hood is Ford’s 21-stud 221 CID Flathead V-8 engine (code V8-78) backed by a sliding gear three-speed manual transmission. They were used in Fords for 1937 but the block was revised to have the water pumps mounted on the block. The new design also relocated the water outlet from the front of the heads to the top center of the heads. Inside is a matching red and black interior. The black bench seat looks great, a three-spoke steering wheel faces the driver. The black inner door liners and red metal dashboard are in good, original order and the dash came with a full array (for the period) of gauges but the amp gauge and horn are inoperable. ” |

As America emerged from the economic Great Depression, pickup trucks became the workhorses on farms and in cities, particularly in the Great Plains states, led by Ford.
Dressed in Vermilion Red over black wings, the truck’s paint and trim are in very good order. The cargo bed looks good, the engine bay is tidy and the chrome bumpers are in fine shape. The split windshield is clear and crack-free and note there is only a driver’s side windshield wiper. This truck rolls on a 112-inch wheelbase.
This truck rolls on wide whitewall bias-ply tires. Each one is mounted on wheels with red beauty rings and topped with chrome center caps. The wheels are in very good order while the tires are in good, original condition.
Under the hood is Ford’s 21-stud 221 CID Flathead V-8 engine (code V8-78) backed by a sliding gear three-speed manual transmission. They were used in Fords for 1937 but the block was revised to have the water pumps mounted on the block. The new design also relocated the water outlet from the front of the heads to the top center of the heads.
Inside is a matching red and black interior. The black bench seat looks great, a three-spoke steering wheel faces the driver. The black inner door liners and red metal dashboard are in good, original order and the dash came with a full array (for the period) of gauges but the amp gauge and horn are inoperable. A floor-mounted shift lever completes the interior.
