Excellent example , very desirable body style, everything done. Thecar is in very good shape, inside and out. Still 6-volt, starts and runs fine, no smoke, andeverything works. Choke is a little stiff, needs lube. Engine runs smoothly with no smoking, no rocking, nonoises. King pins redone and car tracks the road very well. Brakes have been fully overhauled - stops straight andtrue. Gears and clutch have zero issues - firm engagement and no slippage. The car was treated to a recent $12,000 worth of mechanical updatesand overhaul just 18 months ago by a local restoration shop. This means new carburetor, waterpump, and master cylinder, and the king pins are done. A complete listing of whathas been done is available. Prior owner converted the exhaust to dual pipes, and I intended to put it back to single exhaust if I keep it. No issues with the current manifold. Prior owner converted the headlights to sealed beam units, from the original reflector and 6-volt bulb. It works, but if you want to taken it back, one original headlight bucket with reflector and bulb is included. Chrome is nearly spotless, glass is good to excellent allaround. Tilt-out front windshield cranks out and back, and needs to be exercised. No sign of leakage. Side wing windows work fineand latch tight. All glass is clear, no white-out. Hood ventilator works fine, and a replacement gasket is in the trunk. There is no rust out (Texas car since FDR) and I"ve been around itwith a magnet. Tires are wide-whites, almost new and no cracking. Thereis a full-size wide white on the spare wheel, tucked behind the passenger seat. Trunk is huge (business model), and is fully carpeted. Side windows roll upand down with no problem - the right side window could use a channelreplacement in a year or two. Glove box is original, and could use a replacement from age alone. The prior owner re-painted it in two-tone green. It looksfine, but I would put it back in black, if I keep it. This car is100% original 1937, except for the paint. (I don"t know the originalcolor.) See the photos for more information. It has a heater, an oil filter (both were options back then), and two taillights (also an option then). Wipers have been converted to electric. The coupe body style is a real eye-catcher and is totally funky. Headliner was replaced before I bought it, and is in very good condition with zero problems - looks new. Upholstery is in good condition on both seats and panels. The upholstery is not the original pattern, but is close. There"s really nothing significant to be done with this car. You could drive a couple of days a week, and sell it a few years from now at a profit, Ithink. Hate to put it up for sale, but I have too many vehicles.
