Vehicle description
1937 Dodge 1/2 ton Pickup. Serial Number 9249840 Model MC built at Plant in Los Angeles, CA. This was build number 2,640 at the LA plant in 1937.
This truck spent it"s first 82 years in Santa Rosa, CA, then I brought it to Indiana. It has a fresh Small Block Chevy 383 with a new Edelbrock 600 carburetor and aluminum intake. The headers are also new with Hush Thrush mufflers. Transmission is a 350 turbo. The rear end is from a 1964 Chevrolet and has a ratio of 3.36:1. It has a straight front axle with a power rack. It sports a Stearns locking/tilting steering wheel and a B&M ratchet shifter. It has drum brakes all around, has all the following new, aluminum radiator, hoses, belts, fuel cell (mounted under bed) fuel line, fuel pump and brake master cylinder. It has aluminum 15" slotted wheels and like new tires. All stainless trim is in place, that includes all 6 pieces of hood side trim, headlight base trim, grille surround and Ram hood ornament. The truck is wired enough to start and drive but will need a complete wiring harness. Head light buckets are there but no bulbs or lenses, there is one combination tail/brake light that also needs wired. The body is very solid but will need a passenger side cab corner and a driver side lower cowl. I have those two patch panels included but not installed. As you can see the windshield is cracked (will need replaced) and there is no side or rear glass in the cab. The door regulators are present and go up and down easily. The windshield regulator and handle are there but seem to be frozen. All interior window moldings are there. There is some upholstery on door sides, kick panels, back of cab and headliner. The original seat has some kind of seat cover on it as you can see in pictures, it"s well worn but still in tact. The original speedometer is there but the gauge cluster is missing. I did add after market oil pressure and temperature gauges. The truck is certainly drivable at this time but is not road worthy as lights are not wired or installed. I have video of the truck running and driving and can send along if requested. Not sure I can add links here. Any questions please email. Good luck bidding.
