In. Inline 6 OHV Mileage: 512 This 1937 Chevrolet Series GC 1/2 Ton Pickup Truck is absolutely stunning having underwent an extensive frame off restoration a few years ago. In 1937, Chevrolet tasked its Art and Color Section, under the direction of famed designer Harley Earl, to re-design its line of Pickup Trucks. Inspired by locomotive designs of the day, Earl and his team came up with what is now known as "steel stream styling." The new "37 front ends had a more modern look, the fenders were rounder and fuller, the body lines were smoother, and the cabs were now all-steel. Not only did the "37 Pickups receive a new look, they also featured a new and more powerful motor, the 216.5 cubic inch overhead valve inline 6. This particular "37 1/2 Ton Pickup received a frame off restoration several years ago and has very few miles since. Under the hood on this Pickup Truck is a rebuilt 216 Cubic Inch Overhead Valve Inline 6 Cylinder engine with a single barrel carburetor that pushed out 85 horsepower back in 1937. Driving this classic Chevy Truck is super fun since the 216 inline 6 is hooked up to a 3 speed manual transmission with a floor mounted shifter. The all-steel box and wood bed have been completely refurbished and appear like-new. The exterior has been beautifully re-finished in a two-tone paint scheme with a Swift Red body and Black steel fenders that give this truck a fantastic look. This classic Chevy Pickup Truck sits on 4 blackwall 6.50-16 BFGoodrich Silvertown tires with Chevrolet Hubcaps. The interior of this 1937 Series GC Pickup is incredible. The bench seat has been recovered in beautiful brown upholstery and the dash and door panels feature a brown wrinkle finish. The steering wheel appears to be stock and is in fantastic shape. The dash is in its stock configuration, equipped with a 100 MPH speedometer, temperature gauge, gas gauge, amp gauge, and oil pressure gauge, all of which appear to be stock. The headliner and floor mat are also in superb condition and finish the interior look of the truck. If you"re looking for a classic pre-war Chevy pickup truck that looks just like it rolled off the manufacturing line, this 1937 Chevrolet Series GC 1/2 Ton Pickup Truck is an excellent choice.
