Vehicle description
Up for auction is my incredibly rare 1935 Plymouth PJ Convertible Coupe.
The vehicle is in astounding conditioning, considering it"s 100 year birthday is about just under 20 years away!
As of 1980 the Plymouth Bulletin listed only four known Model PJ Plymouth vehicles in existence. Since 38 years has passed since then, that number is most likely even lower today.
I posted screenshots of the production count after doing some research, showing that only 837 of this type were in production, and of the 837, only 32 came off the assembly line in Detroit. I have the original Detroit manual, as pictured below.
The photos I have of the vehicle really do it justice, showing just how well maintained it was over the years. Up until I purchased it, the vehicle had only 2 owners, I am the third.
The body is all steel and completely original. The only modification to the vehicle were the seats, otherwise it"s completely original. The only other thing is the engine has been rebuilt, but I am also in possession of the original engine with the matching numbers that ran even just before it was replaced with the rebuilt engine. The original engine is also included in this auction.
I have the original metal spare tire cover as well. The chrome trim on the driver"s side is not on the vehicle, but it is in great shape and I have them still.
The original floors and frame look very solid.
She will run, but she is not a driver.
As posted in the pictures, it was registered just 20 years ago and on the road.
If you have any questions, would like to see the vehicle, or would like additional pictures posted, please feel free to give Steven a call @ 860-938-3903.
This vehicle is being sold where is, as is, so buyer is responsible for pick up.
A $1,000 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction"s close. The full payment due within fourteen (14) days of auction"s end.
Happy bidding!
