Vehicle description
I have fallen prey to the same syndrome that attacks so many of my fellow old-car nuts- I started a project and then got sidetracked by other projects. Now this old fire truck is taking up space and I don"t think I"m going to get to it. So it"s for sale. If you"ve ever wanted to own a fire truck, consdier this one. It really is pretty cool and needs only a paint job and a couple of minor things. Most of the hard and expensive stuff has been done.
The truck is a 1935 International C 30 open cab fire truck. It starts, runs and drives. It has the hose and hose reel, wooden ladders, several fittings, a siren, red lights, all pretty exciting. I"m told the pump works well, but I have not tested it personally. Siren, red lights, ladders, hose reel, etc. have been removed for painting, but come with the truck when purchased. Headlights shown appear to have come from a later Chevy or GMC. I bought proper headlights and they come with the truck, but they are in rough shape.
Title is clean and in my name. Serious potentail buyers are invited to come and see it and drive it around my lot. It is not licensed for the road at this time.
I just bought another collector car and need the space. I could deliver for expenses as long as you"re not too far away, or I will cooperate with your transport company in getting it loaded and on its way to you.
Now the bad stuff: Please don"t bother trying to scam me. I"ve seen them all. I"m not testing the market. This old truck is actually for sale. I am not in a financial bind and do not have to sell this truck, but I"ve priced it to sell as my issue is indoor storage space. Obviously I"m not interested in trades. Cash deal only.
Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
