Vehicle description

1935 International Panel Truck.
I purchased the truck in Monrovia California in 1990. I started to fully restore the truck to factory stock standards and it was one of the cars featured in Hemming Motor News in 1993. The Truck was originally licensed in California and very little if any rust was found when the body work was being done. Most if not all of the original wood frame is still intact. The wood in the rear doors has been redone. The engine was rebuilt in about 1997 at a cost of $1800. It was never started or run after the rebuild. The transmission was not rebuilt but the clutch was rebuilt. The braking system is not fully connected and the brakes are not operational. I have a clear California non operational title to the car.
The truck was original registered to the Lyons Moving Company in Downtown Los Angeles. The truck was used to transport carpet. Originally there was a small door cut into one of the doors but the door has now been put back to the original configuration.
I stopped working on this truck in 1995 when my interests changed and I started to restore a 1948 Woodie Station Wagon
The truck has the following features.
15 inch Wire wheels are powder coated, which I believe are original. The wheels are about 6 1/2 inches wide. The tires were installed with tubes more than 20 years ago. I did put air in the tubes about 6 years ago when the truck was moved from my garage to the storage container.
Paint. The body was blasted (I can"t remember if it was sand or media) before it was painted. The body was lifted slightly above the frame and the frame was painted. The sheet metal to the panel truck cam with the car and was a very straight truck when I received it. I believe the last time the truck was on the highway was in about 1950. The truck was primered, and a single stage paint was applied. There are nicks and many flaws in the paint from being moved several times. Since I have owned the truck, it has always been stored indoors.
Top: There is not top on the car. The wood supports are in good to fair condition and there is one area that is shown in the pictures that may need to be repaired.
Engine, Original type engine block. New pistons and bearing were used during the rebuild. A generator, starter, distributor and wires are included. I believe the carburetor is from a 1960"s chevy engine and is not original to the car.
The car is currently not driveable and will take work to get it road worthy
Car will not be released until all funds have been cleared through the bank.
The seller has the right to pull this listing because the truck is listed for sale locally.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to fully inspect the vehicle prior to placing a bid and completing the transaction. All sales are final
The title is a California DMV non operational title. It was registered a licensed to drive about 20 years ago, however I did not drive it on the street.
