Vehicle description
1935 Ford Model 48 Deluxe Convertible • All Original restored • Bought from original owner’s in estate auction in 2000 • 31,331 miles • Everything has been rebuilt and restored • The 1935 Ford Deluxe Convertible Sedan was so admired at its introduction that it was chosen as the pace car for the 1935 Indianapolis 500. Only 4,234 of this model were produced; rarest of all 1935 Ford models. The car is a Cordoba gray (tan) in color with poppy red accent wire spoked rims and a poppy red pinstripe. The car has a Brown Lebaron Bonney interior and top. This is a beautiful car would be a great car for any collection. It has won a first junior’s at AACA in Fall of 2018 but has never been judge by Early Ford V8. It been restored to the way Henry built it with one exception, the heads on the flathead are cast iron not aluminum but included with the car are one NEW set of cast aluminum heads. As stated, this is a rare car it was also use with Amelia Earhart for promotions in 1935, her disappearance happened 2 years later. I have a lot of documentation on this car that will be supplied with the sale. I can supply video of the car running upon request. Thank you for looking at this car that is part of American history.
