1932 Hudson Rat Rod
Not exactly a Rat Rod but the visual appearance meets the criteria of “rat rod”.
To start, the car was built and finished in August of 2015. Everything on the car was brand new besides the cab obviously.
1932 Hudson 2 door body with factory suicide doors. Amazing condition no rust anywhere on the cab . It had 3” cut off the bottom to get the shorter cab look without chopping the cab .
1997 5.9 Cummins 700hp - s366 and s480 borgwarner turbos. 5x18 Haley speed injectors, 191 deliver valves , 110# valve springs , 210 pump maxed , o ringed head and block , aftermarket Allen head bolts , 3 piece exhaust manifold, custom stainless turbo piping . Air dog fuel system .
47re transmission Full Manual valve body,billet high stall FTI converter , fully rebuilt with no issues runs cool with remote cooler . PPP Manual shifter.
Full custom chassis 2x3 1/4 wall frame . Z frame with plenty of cross bracing. Full performance 4 link in rear with 1 3/4 .250 wall DOM . Front is a custom cantilever suspension that will lay frame completely and rise to about 5” off ground witch is plenty for getting over speed bumps for the people that might ask . . rear is a standard bag over axle setup.
Brand new roadster front axle with disc brakes . Ford 9” rear with 350 gear ratio 31 spline axles , recently rebuilt 2 months ago, also has disc brakes on rear . Brake system is hydro boost out of Chevy Astro van . Car stops on a dime .
Air system Little Larry’s 2 way valve, viair dual 444c compressors with 7gal tank. 1/2” lines with air gauge . 2400# bags on all corners.
Full 12 point rollcage , 4 point harnesses, ironace bomber seats that are more comfortable then you might think. Driveshaft hoops and full 1x1 square tubing floor frame covered with 14ga steel .
Full set of AutoMeter Gauges Boost, trans temp, oil pressure, coolant temp, bolts, fuel, EGT.
Car has been nothing but amazing since it was built . No major issues . Motor was freshened up about 3 months ago with fresh head gasket and fresh seals throughout entire motor .
Not your ordinary “ratrod”. It is a professionally built car that was basically brand new 2 years ago. Just like the cool look of a 30’s sedan cab bare metal.
