Vehicle description
1931 Chevy pickup project. I bought it as a rat rod project but don’t have time to finish it. This is a very solid start for a cool build. The Mountain Dew logo is hand painted on both doors. The story behind the truck is that is was owned by a beer distributor in the 1950’s-1960’s and that is who hand painted the logos in the doors as advertising. The truck was originally green, but was brush painted black before the logos were put on the door. It has a great patina which is why I was going to make it a rat rod. All sheet metal is in good usable shape and I have all major pieces. I was going to keep it a straight six with slightly updated drivetrain, so I bought a wood kit for the cab frame which is partially assembled. The wood kit shown in the pictures was over $2000 alone. The original engine that is in it now is seized, but I have a newer mid-sixties straight six 194CI engine which has been freshened up. Also have an Camaro 5-speed trans and S10 rear to go with the project. I have a complete Bell dropped axle from a ’48 Ford truck with springs, spindles, drums brakes, etc that will work with this truck with minor modifications. So I pretty much have everything needs to build the truck into a roller. Prefer to sell everything together. Message me for more pictures. I have a clean PA title which is in my name and in my possession and the truck has matching identification plate on firewall. Other parts included with truck, but possibly not pictured - Roof, back wall sheet metal, rear fenders, front fenders/running boards, front frame cover/apron, bed sides, headlight bar with headlights and horn, front and rear bumpers, gas tank, front/rear/door glass, other misc. I cannot and will not deliver, unless it is very close to where I live, so buyer is responsible for pick-up or transportation of the truck.
