Car is equipped with side curtains, tonneau cover,convertible top and boot cover. It also has the original assembly book, Illinois title and all repair receipts
New parts in rebuild: Crank, bearings, pistons, sleeves, valves, push rods, tappets, HD oil pump, bypass relief valve and spring, 2 quart oil sump, HD clutch pressure plate and roller throw-out bearings, rebuilt starter and generator. D isplacement increased to 1687 cc.
2008 restoration new items: stainless steel fuel tank, electric fuel pump,electronic ignition, updated wiring, new 12 volt battery, new tires, new master cylinder, brake lines, wheel cylinders, front brake drums, rear shock absorbers, tachometer, running boards, luggage rack, and 1928 Model "T" headlights.
This kit car was built to resemble a 1929 Gazelle Mercedes. It is the third owner . It has a VW engine which still runs nicely. The interior is in fine shape. Leather seats are very comfortable - especially for a moderately-sized adult. It is presently parked at my house in Perryville, Maryland; but can be relocated to Center City, Philadelphia - if need be.
I am 83 years old and want to sell this beauty before it reaches me in car-age. It has really been fun to drive, but now it is time for someone with less brittle bones to enjoy it. All interested parties should contact me to make arrangements for viewing and testing the car.
