Vehicle description
Ford Model A. Sport Coupe I purchased this car last September from the family of the man who did the restoration. He bought it in 1969 in California. I have his journal of the work he did and the others he hired to do motor work and repairing and repainting of the removed body and fenders, frame and running gear. I have some of the receipts from the 1970"s and 1996. He started the process in California but then moved to Georgia were he finished restoring it. The car ended up back in California upon his passing. It was redone with Le Baron Bonney top and interior and rumble seat all still in really nice condition with one little tear at the top of drivers side door post(see photo). Paint is still nice but does have it"s share of nicks and scratches. there are only a few small areas of crazing on two of the fenders. Steering is a little loose but not bad. Tires have good tread but are starting to craze some. I have replaced three of the inner tubes and have two more tubes that will go with the car. The horn and all of the lights work except the dash light. Engine starts and runs well but does have an issue with noisy lifters at idle but quiet with an increase of RPM"s. I REPEAT, NOISY LIFTERS! Some of the fit of body parts could use some tweaking. Engine comes with a Ford script head that I tried to show in that close up of the distributer. Car has a new radiator and working electric wiper. Things that I have replaced are new battery, rebuilt generator, carburetor, speedometer and cable. Also a cutout switch, fuse setup, new fan blade and belt, plugs, points, condenser, rotor & distributor body. New hoses and lower return pipe and petcock. Fuel gauge has been rebuilt and a new float. All four shocks have been rebuilt and new hardware. All old receipts and my receipts and the previous owners journal come with the car. The reason I am selling this car and also my 29 PU is I am ready to switch up to a Corvette. (truck will be listed soon) Please feel free to ask any questions. This is a no reserve auction
