Vehicle description
This exceptional 1929 vehicle is 1 of 2 that I purchased in 1998 from a former president of the local Model A club and former national director of the Model A Restorers Club. He indicated that he totally restored both vehicles with factory specs using 99% NOS (New Old Stock) parts. He possessed an extensive collection of Model A’s in a heated/air conditioned building and maintained them for his personal pleasure. He didn’t drive them as he treasured them as show pieces. Since my purchase I have kept it in a closed garage with a battery maintainer attached and drove it very little, driving it on local errands and in some local parades where I was always awarded trophies. I have driven on state routes with no fear. It is a crowd pleaser drawing appreciative comments from admirers wherever I have gone. It was truly a fun car to own and drive. I believe that a car in this condition is very hard to find, especially in the Northeast. The car starts easy, runs well, and is fun to drive. The odometer shows 505 miles since restoration. I am getting to the age that I should start reducing my “toy collection” or would not be parting with this “A”. A leakless water pump was added to avoid the maintenance as well as side view mirrors for safety. The carb has been rebuilt and has shown absolutely no leaking. The top material and interior upholstery are in excellent condition. A gasoline tank filler attachment is included. There is an apparent water leak through the head gasket which could be replaced. As is the case with any vehicle some mechanical work may be required from time to time. It has not been tuned up in a while. EXTRAS: Moto-Meter Hood Ornament; White Oak Side Rails on the Pickup Bed; Fender Mount Spare Tire. Car is available for inspection by appointment in the Greater Cleveland Ohio area (44022). Please feel free to ask any questions by contacting me through eBay. This is a final non-refundable sale with the car being sold “as is, where is”. No Reserve Price. A $1,000 PayPal deposit is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction with the balance deposited in PayPal within 7 days of the completion of the auction and prior to pick up at its present location. It must be picked up by the buyer in suburban Cleveland Ohio within 30 days of the end of the auction.
