Vehicle description

1929 Essex Super Six Two Door Sedan.
Straight 8 Flathead Engine & 3 Speed Manual Transmission, Two Tone Paint, Wood Radius Rims.
Presenting this beautiful 1929 Essex Two Door Standard Sedan with an still in great condition. This car has is a 2 owner car and has been owned by the the most recent owner for the last 40 years, purchasing it from the original owner in 1980 who lived in Santa Fe NM where it was kept the entire time in a heated and cooled show room. The car has remained in the dry climate of New Mexico its entire life. It was a favorite driver of the current owner for Sunday cruises, parades and loaned out for wedding and events, until the owner fell into poor health and age. The Essex made it to 82,000 miles with same piston rings and bearings. As a 2 SUICIDE door sedan this Essex is not as common as the 4 doors versions. This is a complete car, bumper to bumper, and is in great condition considering its 92 year old age. Super Six comes with a clear title.
In the most recent months, the vehicle was taken to a reputable auto shop in Albuquerque NM, where it was prepared to get it running after sitting for years. The Car is now running and sounds great. The paint is a two tone blue and black. The interior is in original condition with original fabric, and shows well but is in driver condition and with a few rips and tears and small holes with one seam that has come lose for several inches. Body is sound and the floors are solid. The vehicle has a vinyl top that is in good condition with no rips or tears, but is of age. This is not a rust-bucket. I have found no major frame damage, with just normal surface rust. There is no major body damage, the paint has normal orange peel, light paint scratches, paint wear, and a small dent on the right front finder where several inches of paint have been scarred. All the glass is in good driver condition. Tires look like they have been replaced with original style and are older tires with outstanding tread as the car was driven minimally as stated.
The Essex was a brand of automobile produced by the Essex Motors Company from 1918 -1922 and then by the Hudson Motor Company of Detroit, Michigan between 1922 and 1932. During its production run, the Essex was considered a small car and affordably priced. The Essex is generally credited with starting the trends away from open Touring cars toward enclosed passenger compartments as the rule, not the exception. Total production for the Essex was 27,653 in 1929 and the 1929 Hudson/Essex was the third best selling car.
