Vehicle description
This Model A has had tons of work done to it already. Senior owner"s health forces sale. All original steel, no fiberglass. NO RESERVE!
As you can see the body work was done. No rust and panels are straight. Surface rust at floorboard areas where water collects. Have brand new rubber floorboards for it.
Purchased in Utah and moved to Idaho about 2 years ago. Free and clear Utah title in hand. Original engine is in SLC and can go with the car. Fully disassembled. This replacement engine had good compression and ran well until it blew a head gasket. Tried a quick remedy of installing double head gaskets to correct instead of machining head. It didn"t work. All water, oil and gas drained from vehicle. Has brand new HD clutch installed. Comes with an extra head as shown. Should be machined, painted and installed with new head gasket.
Here are the things that are NEW. Exhaust, all front end parts replaced, new hoses, belt, fan. Radiator is new as are the lights. Tires are all new and all the brakes are new. Also comes with many extra new parts. In addition to the spare (tire not new), it comes with three extra original spoke wheels with tires. An extra steering column and too many other parts to list here.
It obviously needs a new top and interior. It does have the rumble seat. Some Model A enthusiasts think the Sport Coupe was one of the best models ever produced (debatable). . A ratty old barn find complete Model A sells for $5,000-$6,000. Nice drivable Model A are typically selling the the mid to high teens to low 20"s and show cars are in the high 20"s and more.
Model A"s are very fun to drive, especially with the rumble seat in back. Lucky to go 45-50 MPH. Just a piece of history that slowly appreciates over time. Originally a few hundred dollars.
