Vehicle description
* Call Doug with additional question or to arrange a purchase: 913-461-4890. * All reasonable offers considered. Bottom feeders need not apply. * No additional "doc" fees or other bogus fees like the mega-overpriced "other" classic car stores. * 2 short videos of the car linked below. Over 60 pictures viewable on our website: KCClassicCars.us * Check out my "32 Ford High Boy and "51 Desoto street rod in my "other items for sale" also on ebay now.
This is a professionally-built, turn-key street rod produced in the modified lakes roadster theme. It is a pin-clean, nut-and-bolt custom creation by Zipper Motors out of Farmington, Utah- long known for their exceptional quality hot rods. This is pretty much the opposite of the "rat rod" theme that has grown somewhat long in the tooth by now, and is world"s away from the typical backyard bucket-style model T you see at local car shows. Although ebay only allows 24 pics here, I have over 60 on my website, and nearly 200 in total showing the high end parts/materials and thoughtfully engineered construction of this car. Please email me if you want to look at something specific. You"re encouraged to come take a look at this rod, hear it run, and drive it. This is a near $75k rod to build it this way today. With only 4,700 original miles, and priced at $0.40 on the dollar from new, you"ll be hard-pressed to find a better value on a high end custom hot rod.
This car is scary fast, starts easily, idles perfectly, stays cool, and everything works. With that said, here are some features of this Zipper roadster:
* Clean title, and titled as a 1927 Ford. * Well-sorted but low 4,700 miles from new. VERY fast- 355 hp in a 1900# car- you do the math. . * GM ZZ4 350 crate motor, aluminum heads, polished manifold, new Edelbrock 4bbl carb with electric choke, ceramic coated headers, and lots of top quality parts/detail. * GM 700R4 4-speed automatic tranmsmission. * Custom aluminum radiator with Coolflex hoses/fasteners and electric fan. * Jaguar/Winters Performance IRS, with inboard disc brakes and Quickchange rear end (High $$$$) * Custom Zipper steel-reinforced fiberglass body, with dual internally-hinged doors. * Custom polished stainless side exhaust, with baffled mufflers, giving it just enough music to your ears without being obnoxious. * Big Ford 9-inch headlights, with internally mounted turn signals. * Tan fabric top in excellent condition. * High-polished and tapered suspension/steering rods used throughout. * Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, with chrome caps, plus polished trim rings on both the outside AND inside of the rims. * Extensive use of chrome and polished chuck billet, including brake calipers, motor mounts, etc. * Beautiful custom lipstick red interior, complete with seat belts and squareweave carpets * Reversible wood and chrome folding luggage rack. * Stewart Warner gauges and Moon Eyes tach, all in working order. * Quick release billet steering wheel (for easier in/out), USB charger, phone mount, etc. * Painted and polished (on both sides) hood and driver"s side panel included.
I welcome personal inspections- you will be very impressed with the quality of this car, both in how it looks and runs/drives. Although no classic car is ever perfect, regardless of price, there isn"t much to fault with this car- it has a few touched up chips, and the correct match touch-up bottle is included for future use as needed. Otherwise, this custom hot rod is ready to drive, show, and enjoy just as it sits.
