Vehicle description
Originally a1927 Ford Model T Doctors Coupe, the top was removed, windshield posts were laid back, and the doors and rear sail panel were filled and finished. A new floor pan was fabricated channeling the body 3” and all panels were reinforced with steel tubing creating a very rigid body. The body is all steel with the exception of the trunk lid and the nose which are fiberglass.
Frame - 2x3 thick wall (3/16”) steel tubing.
Front end - TCI Custom IFS
Rear end - Mopar 8 3/4, Four bar suspension with aldon coil over shocks.
Trans - B&M Mopar 727
Engine - Mopar 383 equipped with 1407 carb, duel plane manifold, Mopar electronic distributor, MDS ignition, and Sanderson headers
Brakes - Power, disc front, drum rear.
Interior - seats are from a cobra kit car, dash is turned aluminum, Stewart Warner gauges, Speedway Motors steering column with removable steering wheel, and a heater to keep your feet warm.
What does not work? The speedometer and the brights.
The body and chassis have approximately 14,000 miles, the engine and trans about 8,000. The paint has some chipping as would be expected with an open wheel car but still presents well.
