Seller"s Notes -Please message with any questions before bidding. -Buyer must arrange transport/shipping Vehicle Details 1926 Model T Ford Coupe-* Please read the entire description* Please study the photos and read the entire description. If you have questions please message me and I will do my best to answer or provide an additional photo. This car has been in my family since 1958, my Grandfather bought the car and then basically kept it in storage, a project to tinker on. He painted the car with red lead protective coating/primer, and that’s why it’s the reddish color. I have some old paperwork, photos and basic extra parts that will be included. I took possession of the car about a year ago, I was able to get the car started, running, and yard driving. It’s a very complete car, but like any old car, especially this old, it has issues. The car does run on both the battery and magneto, but there is slight lateral movement in the rotating assembly. There is a tear of antifreeze which can be seen coming from the head gasket. The radiator has a slight leak in one row, which I’ve tried to solder up twice, but haven’t completely solved. In the process of getting the car to run, some new parts were necessary, but beyond that, the car is in “as found” condition. The car is very solid, has surface pitting throughout, with 2 small areas that have rusted through, one by the trunk/back and one area by the running board/fender. It should be understood from the photos, and to be very clear. .this is a car which needs total restoration. After some research, I have determined that the engine in this car is not the original, but it is a 1926 model year engine. Here are some good details: -NYS transferable registration/ownership (currently in my name) -rebuilt starter -rebuilt Holley NH carbeurator -trans filter installed -new starter button -6v Deka battery -custom 00 battery cables -rebuilt coil boxes/capacitors upgraded & new points -new plugs w/adapters -car runs on it’s own original fuel tank -runs on the magneto -drives forwards and backwards in my driveway -tires hold air (they are brand new firestone, but very old) they were installed many years ago but never driven on, and have cracks -new hoses -some new wiring where necessary -there are some smooth dents in the fenders and a few dings throughout the car -all of the glass is present, the door window regulators are a bit stubborn, but the windows roll up -the doors open, and close, and latch, the trunk closes -there are no keys for this car, the ignition switch is an old knife switch which can operate the car on the battery or the magneto. -the wood ring at the top of the car is in poor condition and will need to be replaced, the other wood on the car looks ok -the spare rim holder which mounts to the rear of the car, as well as a 5th split rim will also be included in the sale. If you have any questions about the car please message me before committing to buy. I would also recommend that if possible, you should see the car in person to make sure that it meets your expectations. .or possibly discuss on the phone. This car will need to be properly transported to it’s new location, it cannot be driven. Even if you were a local buyer, some form of tow would be necessary to safely move the car. I do not provide and don’t have a transport option for this vehicle. The buyer will need to arrange transport/towing etc. from zipcode 11001. Thank you for looking.
