Vehicle description
1926 Lakes Modified Roadster
Chassis: Custom fabricated, featuring ¼ elliptical springs at front & Bilstein coil-overs at rear. Dropped front axle, spindles & front spring are from Magnum Axle. (A single front spring from Magnum Axle was cut in ½ to achieve the¼ elliptics.) Front brakes are polished Wilwood disks. Steering is reversed Corvair. Rear end is 9” Currie housing with third member from DannyMiller"s Rear Gears, (350:1) with Ford Trac-Loc limited slip Rear suspension is triangulated 4 bar supported on coil-overs All chassis pieces not chrome or polished stainless are powder coated matte black. Powder coated steel wheels are 3”x15” front and 8”x15” rear.
Engine:Engine started as a crate motor from GM Performance. Cam shaft uses flat tappets and has a lift of .450” on intake and .460 on exhaust to help scavenge supercharger boost. Duration is 222ºat both intake & exhaust. Distributor is Uni-lite from Mallory with custom timing curve to accommodate onset of supercharger boost. Supercharger is a polished Paxton SN-60, all brackets and induction hardware are hand fabricated.
Trans:Transmission is GM TH350 by TP Performance.
Body:Extended composite body is by Dick Williams while he was still in Watsonville, CA. The doors are 2-3” wider and another 1” is added behind the doors.
Gauges:Water proof gauges are by Beede Marine.
Interior:Interior is minimal, consisting of 2 forklift seats. Inside of body was sprayed with some kind of “bed-liner” material (I don"t remember the the brand name.) Title:This Hot Rod is described by its clear Nevada title as a 1926 Ford. Included:Included are two extra, header back, powder painted chambered exhaust systems, one system is loud, the other is louder.
I have, not included in the auction ,another, ready to run, polished Paxton ball drive supercharger with 6-rib drive pulley which I will include for an extra $900over & above the auction sale price, OR I will sell outright for $1,050.
