The current owner of the car bought it in 2017 and did the restoration. It as purchased as a stock model T and was driven so for a few weeks after purchase. The owner kept the car all Henry Ford steel transformed it into the street rod. The glass is all original aside from the windshield. It is powered by a 327 V8 paired with a 700 R4 automatic transmission. The owner did an excellent job keeping it mainly original Ford Model T parts including even the head light lenses. Highlights include a solid front Ford drop axle, Mojave heater, custom Birds Eye Maple with a brass center, Edelbrock intake, 650 Holley carburetor, MSD distributor, sound deadening on the ceiling, floors/floors/walls and doors, tubed frame, halogen headlights, electric actuator for raising and lowering the trunk, rack and pinion steering, headers, Auto Meter gauges, CD player, electric cooling fan and aluminum radiator. This is an excellent running and handling streetrod and must be considered.
Although automobiles had already existed for decades, they were still mostly scarce and expensive at the Model T"s introduction in 1908. Positioned as reliable, easily maintained mass market transportation, it was a runaway success. In a matter of days after the release, 15,000 orders were placed. The first production Model T was produced on August 12, 1908, and left the factory on September 27, 1908, at the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant in Detroit, Michigan. On May 26, 1927, Henry Ford watched the 15 millionth Model T Ford roll off the assembly line at his factory in Highland Park, Michigan.
