Vehicle description
Hello and thank you for your interest in our auction. We are Kentucky Horse Rescue and we are a 501(c)(3) non profit that rescues horses. We also train and find homes for Wild Mustangs. Our auctions include items that we are no longer using or rotating out of our facility. From time to time we will feature items that were donated and/or were purchased for fund raisers. Available this week is an awesome piece of American History and a credit to the Henry Ford legacy. This is a 1925 Ford Model T Coupe . We are not experts on these vehicles, but it looks amazing for being just four (4) years shy of 100 years old! What is even more amazing is that this vehicle starts right up and we drove it around in the yard and driveway. It has great brakes, fires right up with no smoke and purrs like a kitten . Both low and high gear work like they should. The ammeter gauge, headlights, dash light, and horn all work! We were limited to 24 pictures, however; we took tons of pictures underneath and there is no rust on the frame and there are not welds, breaks or patches that we could see or find. It is clean! The coil box is missing the lid, the trunk floor panel is missing, there are 3 wooden coils and 1 plastic coil. The windows all look to be original and the windshield and back glass has imperfections or what looks like BB boils in the glass. They are clear and are not cracked. They roll up and down or fold out as they should. The interior is mostly complete, but needs restored. It has the wooden wheels and is either crank started or electric started . Tires have real good tread, but are showing some dry rot due to age. It is still 6 volt and has a new 6 volt battery in it. It has the 3 piece wooden floor in good condition. This is not listed as a completely restored, show car. This is an awesome original that probably belongs in a museum. It is a very easy restoration project or use as it is. No, I wouldn"t recommend flying in and driving it across country. This is a NO RESERVE auction and I will require a $300 deposit at auction end. I will require full payment within 7 days of auction end. I will accept most forms of payment, however; the vehicle will not leave my property until the payment has cleared my bank. Checks can take up to 20 days or more. The vehicle can stay here as long as we come to a term and both agree on it. I will not charge for storage. I do not pay for shipping, arrange for shipping, or transport. All cost associated with shipping this vehicle will be the responsibility of the buyer. This unit will sell As-Is, Where-Is with no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied. There are no returns or refunds on machinery. It is 96 years old and is not represented as new. It does have wear and tear from 96 years of use. There are small scratches, dings, oxidation, light surface rust and typical wear to be expected. Interested persons are welcome to inspect the unit or have it inspected. I would fully expect the winning bidder to come and inspect the vehicle and test drive it on the property, prior to full payment. I wouldn"t want anyone to purchase something they were not happy with. That being said, once the vehicle leaves my property it is yours and you accept full responsibility for all future repairs and maintenance. If you have a rating of 10 or less, please contact me prior to bidding. If you do not, I will assume that your bid is fraudulent in nature and I will delete it and block you. Thank you and I hope you have a great week. Good luck and most of all, Have Fun!
