Vehicle description
1924 Studebaker Special Six 5 passenger Touring Car. This car has been in the family since 1955 and is very original. The engine is the 289ci straight six, 3 speed non-sychro gearbox with mechanical brakes (foot and service) on the rear wheels. It still has its original leather seats, wood spoked wheels, fabric top and 4 hub caps. It was repainted in the 1950"s with what we think were the original colors and we had the radiator re-cored.
The car runs and drives fine, shows 25,826 on the odometer, which we believe to pretty close to accurate. We used it for many parades and car shows as well as the weddings of our two children. At this point we are moving onto other projects and it"s time for the Studebaker to find a new owner.
The engine has a repaired crack in the water jacket due to it freezing one winter. You can see it in one of the pictures of the engine just ahead of the horn. We have driven it for years since then without an issue. Comes with a spare engine.
$7000 cash, no trades, firm price.
