Vehicle description
For your consideration is a very cool 1922 Studebaker Phaeton Special Six Hot Rod project. Clear Maryland title as a 1922 Studebaker.
You can google images of this car in its original shape. The idea behind this build was to make a roadster pickup. The rear of the cars body has been cut of to be used to finish the back of the cab. The truck bed is in fantastic condition and looks like sides and gate from around 1928 to 1934. The frame has been boxed and all new suspension has been added. I do have both original doors in fantastic condition as well as the original hood. I do not know the make of the Banjo wheel. The Radiator shell is almost perfect. A small collection of original Studebaker information also will go with the car.
The windshield frame has bee refinished with new rubber and glass. Both headlights have been finished and are ready to go on. A lot of the floor pans are already bent and just need to be welded in.
The engine is from a early 1970s Cadillac and was running when removed from the car and is not locked up. The small exhaust parts on the heads in the picture do not go with the car as they are not mine. It looks like the transmission is a turbo 400, the rear is a Ford 9 inch. I do not know what size stall converter it has or what the gear ratio is.
The following parts are all new: 37-48 Ford 3 3/4 drop arms, 42-48 Ford kingpin kit, 47 Ford smoothie forger tubular axle, Tie rod kit,Aluminum Buick Brake hubs 5 x 4 3/4, 36-54 Chevy rear shackles, U bolt kit, 33-37 Chevy 50 inch springs, Gennie Shifter Ultra 28" shifter for 400 turbo, Gennie hand brake, hand brake boot, shifter boot kit, Rail mount master cyl., Stockton wheels 15 inch Hot Rod smooth and 15 x 8 reverse rear wheels, all new tires, Wire Worms headlight conduits kit, Bob Drake 1932 Quartz Halogen reflector kit, New dash insert and guages, Chevy pickup taillights, Ron Francis wire harness, rear brakes, windshield glass and there may be more I forgot.
These are lots of extra parts included.
I am not looking to trade and do not need help selling this one of a kind project. With a little help this could be running by spring. I have other projects and could use the space. If it does not sell I have no problem keeping it.
Buyer is to handle all shipping or pick up and all fees that go with it.
