Up for bid is my fantastic and rare 1990 Mustang. Less than 1% of the Mustangs sold in 1990 (over 100,000 of them!) were optioned this way, including a stripe/tape delete option for a pure white/white exterior which is highly sought after. Here are some of the great factory options (see the Marti report for full rundown):
- 5.0L v8 (of course!) - 3.27 gear ratio with traction-lok limited slip - Air conditioning
- Cruise - Premium sound system with cassette - Power locks - Tinted glass - leather-wrapped steering wheel
As mentioned in the title, this is a very original Mustang, with absolutely no performance modifications. It even has the full factory-installed Ford exhaust! The majority of the parts are factory original as well, including things like the spark plug wires, exhaust headers, etc. Non original parts are limited to wear/safety items, including the battery, shocks and tires.
My Mustang is in absolutely great shape when you take into account how old it is. under 18,000 verifiable original miles has a lot to do with it, but this car was also stored inside which is quickly evident when you look at the underside photos (it was also rust-proofed when it was new which has kept the rust away). If you need any more photos, I have a ton, but can only put up 24 through the Ebay system. Just message me.
Mechanically, it"s also in awesome shape - it runs great, has plenty of get-up-and-go for a stock car from the 90"s and has very cold a/c! it also has a good Pennsylvania mechanical inspection good through July 2022, so this means that safety items like the lights, horn, turn signal and such all work properly. On top of the current state inspection, I had one of the more reputable Mustang shops in the country give it a clean bill of health from a performance standpoint, verified with a dyno session. The performance numbers where within about 1 horsepower of what my Mustang would have dyno"d at in 1990! The numbers are lower since this dyno measures at the wheels instead of at the crank (as the factory rates it), but rest-assured this one runs just like it did when MTV still played music videos!
There can"t be many ultra-low mileage, unmolested Mustang GT"s in this condition out there, so I"d urge you to bid on this one if a period-correct piece is what you"re after. Again, please feel free to contact me with any questions, or for more media on my beautiful "stang!
