Vehicle description
1948 Chevy Thriftmaster 1 ton.

I’m the second owner of this truck. The first owner was my grandad. This vehicle was used for grocery delivery for his family grocery store in Coeur d’Alene Idaho. It’s secondary purpose was his adventure mobile. It has a fold down bed, fold down table, a wood stove with a fan for heat distribution, some built in shelves for storage and some mileages written on the wall from Coeur d’Alene to different fishing spots in North Idaho.
He passed away in the early 1980’s. Since then it was in 2 different storage units that were enclosed, heated and rodent free. In the early 90"s, I drained the oil out of it. It was in storage until it was brought to my house in Bellingham WA on August 21st of this year. It has been sitting in my driveway since that date. I don’t want to see it waste away in the rain. After years of being in storage, it should go to a home where someone will fix it up.
I have had dreams of turning this into something cool for years but I am now letting it go. I don’t have the shop, the tools, the skills or the time to take care of it. I’d love to sell it to someone who wants to restore it.I am not a car person so I will be unable to answer a lot of technical car questions.
This vehicle did suffer a recent bit of damage. When we were unloading it from the flatbed, it crashed into our rock retaining wall. It damaged the fender above the left rear wheel.
Not sure if it will start. No battery or oil currently.
Comes with 2 extra door and original wheels.
Purchaser must arrange pickup.
Again, I cannot answer many technical questions. Cars are not my area of expertise.
