2007 Load Rite Boat Trailer VIN: 5A4WH3S1372000800
Up for auction here is a 2007 Load Rite boat trailer that I purchased in November of 2019 so that I could move a boat I had just purchased from South Carolina to our home in Virginia.
This trailer comes with a clear Virginia Title.
This trailer was in pretty rough condition when I purchased it. The lights were not working and the tires were dry rotted. It had been used on the North Carolina coast so it was used in a saltwater environment which had created quite a bit of surface rust on it. This trailer also did not have fenders on it at the time of purchase.
I made temporary repairs to the lights to get them working before I left the purchase area. I stopped along the way to pick up my boat and purchased new wheels and tires for it.
The trailer tows great and I was able to move the boat successfully from S. Carolina to Lake Anna in Virginia where the boat still sits in the water today.
I have decided to keep my boat at Lake Anna so I will no longer have use for this trailer.
I always try to improve anything I buy once I get it. This is even more important to me if I am going to sell the item to someone else. I try to make it the best I reasonably can and then be honest about its present condition.
Once I brought the trailer to my home I stripped away all of the old wiring and lights. I scraped and sanded away as much of the surface rust as I reasonably could. I then completely repainted the trailer. I was able to get rid of most of the surface rust with the many hours I put into it, but there is still some in some areas. The trailer now looks really good.
Once the painting was completed I installed all new wiring from front to back along with new LED waterproof lights that you can see in the pictures. I installed new indoor/outdoor carpet on all four bunks and also installed a set of fenders. The trailer looks really nice and tows really well on like new tires.
It has 4 - 10’x6” carpeted bunks. Right now it measures +/- 17’3” from the front bow roller back to the rear end of the 4 bunks. The bow roller tower can be moved forward another +/- 2’9” which would then make it +/- 20 feet from the bow roller to the back of the bunks.
There is +/- 7 feet between the fenders. The trailer is +/- 8 feet wide at the outside of the fenders.
Please keep in mind that this is a good used trailer that came from saltwater use. I am not making a dime on this trailer at this price. That does not include the many, many hours I have into it. If you are looking for a trailer that still has some years left, then this is it. If you are looking for a new trailer then this ain’t it .
Please ask any and all questions that you have BEFORE you bid. If you would like, you are more then welcome to come and inspect it BEFORE you bid. What you see is what you will get….nothing more and nothing less! This trailer is being sold “as is where is” with no warranty or promises made by seller to buyer.
Winner required to pay $300.00 deposit through PayPal. Remainder to be paid by cash when winner of auction picks up this boat trailer.
