Vehicle description
You are bidding on a fabulous vintage RV!
This 1979 coach was purchased at auction due to abandonment at a storage facility where, since 2010, it had sat. I have owned it since April of 2015. It was last registered as being on the road in 2010 and had records inside from the Daytona 500 camping area. So I can only assume that it"s last trip was to Florida and back (to Pennsylvania) in 2010.
I do not have a huge amount of information on the vehicle, but I can try to answer any questions you may have. I was hurt shortly after purchasing the coach and have basically just kept it safe and dry since buying it. Here is what I can tell you:
Summer of 2015, hooked up to electric and tested the panel. After replacing some fuses, it did transfer electric throughout the coach. Lights, etc. Was unable to test the AC or other units such as pumps, etc. We also tried to put fresh diesel in the tank and get the vehicle to turn over. It tried like mad until we killed the already weak battery, which I disposed of last year when it began to leak. We were able to get the air compressor to kick in, which began to put air into the leveling system and brake system, until the tank blew out (was an after-market compressor, had rusted through from condensation).
The vehicle comes with a plethora of records, manuals and information. Everything down to the built-in toaster. From what I can tell I am it"s third owner.
The pictures will probably be worth more than I can tell you. I also have a video of both the inside and outside I can send you, but I cant figure out how to add it here. I have a bill of sale from the storage facility (where the RV is still located), with all the letters you will need to prove that it was abandoned. The facility can also provide you with additional information if needed.
I have since moved and live two hours from where the coach is parked (hence why selling) but I can try to set up a time to meet anyone if needed.
Remember, the coach has sat for nearly 10 years now. It will need work inside and out to get it back on the road. It is worth every penny tho. These vehicles has a price tag of nearly 100k when new!
Storage on the vehicle is paid through the end of this month. If you are unable to move it right away, the lease on the space can be transferred over to you quickly at the office so you can have some more time to work on it or arrange to have it towed. I believe the current rent is around $125 monthly.
I will provide a full bill of sale for your records. You will need to submit a Title Request for Abandoned Vehicle to obtain the title. It is not hard to do, but better to do it in your home state. Some states are MUCH easier to do so in.
