Up for sale is a holmes 440 wrecker bed. same is believed to be around a 1977 model. It was mounted on a 1977 Chevy one ton truck. I bought the truck (both wrecker and truck) 2 years ago. I separated the truck from the wrecker bed about a year ago. I mainly used the truck for parts (It has since been sold as well) and I put the wrecker bed in my barn out of the weather. The truck was not running when I bought it and was purchased from Toccoa G.A. it has mostly surface rust. I don"t see any rot. it has one dent near the divers side rear wheel well. It did have a wheel lift attached to it. but it was sold a while back. However the pump is still attached to the truck. Unknown condition of pump. otherwise the wrecker part is mechanical. which means its chain driven from a PTO shaft. Wrecker bed is sold as-is where-is. what you see is what you get. I have no bolts, no PTO shafts, no chains or gears. it does have the brackets that would hold the sling to the rear. If you have any questions please ask. I will try my best to answer it. it does have the brackets that bolt to whatever frame you attach it to.
Removal is sole responsibility of buyer. It is in my barn which is near another barn. it is on blocks. I can try and help load but will not be responsible for any damage as I have never moved one of these before. A guy with a tractor put it in the barn it is in now. But That person is not available now to load.
I require no sort of deposit. Just cash when you come and pick same up. Bed is not in the way, so if you need time to come get it I am flexible. Pick up times are best on weekends. But please check in advance as sometimes I have plans on weekends. Bed is located in Weaverville N.C. which is about 10 miles north of Asheville N.C. I am about 5 miles from I-26.
