Vehicle description
1973 FMC 2900R Motor Home #141 Classic Retro Vintage RV.
Classic 1973 FMC motor home #141. This is a rare high end motor home from 1973. It has been garage kept since new. Last on the road 2007. Motor home has been documented since new with all trips, receipts, service records and repairs. Everything looks original with very little wear. The picture of rear side shows an hour of buffing that shows how well this will clean up. This is the same model motor home features on Counts Customs. Bought new for $72,000 In 1973 tells you the quality and value it has. Motor and drivetrain is Dodge 440. Will need brakes and tuned up. it will need a new ignition switch and key, I have key for doors and compartments. I drove it into the barn pictured. This would make a great project that will attract the booming retro RV market. Trades considered. Title is Ohio salvage title only because we bought from an estate (Original owners) and had to go to the courts for a title. There has been no accidents. Any questions or requests to preview before auction end are welcomed.
So I had a lot of questions and I went thru rv the best that could: Engine started right up (haven"t started it for 1 1/2 years) will need a new battery Engine a/c turned on and blew cold both roof a/c turned on and blew cold refrigerator works generator started right up (I had never tried it before) original ignition switch and keys are gone. I used two switched for temporary ignition, will need new one with keys there are no brakes. not sure of the condition of pads and other related brake components. no pedal, might need bled or new master cylinder? interior lights did not turn on but I think there is a switch somewhere that I am missing carpet and seat covers are in nice original condition. steam cleaning should make them like new. the rear bed was added with custom mattress to make bigger I added picture of center console. Haven"t checked everything on there but it has: lp gas level battery condition" water and holding tank levels vehicle leveling? water pump Therma san (this was a switch that cooked rv holding tank waste while driving down the road. . not sure what the EPA would say about that today This is a fun camper that looks to be all there but will need to be gone over.
Being sold as is. $500.00 deposit on close of auction. Balance to be paid with Cash on pickup. Local pickup only.
