“I would suggest installing a new radiator before full service. I did drive this motorhome approximately 3000 miles as is when I purchased in California. The speedometer cable also needs to be replaced. There is a dent in the rear roof from a tree branch and a small one in the front drivers side, but no leaks of any sort.I am selling this bus as is. It was run about once a month until I had an issue with my battery trickle charger. It currently needs 2 batteries. All tires are holding air. There is some rust in the belt area, primarily on the passenger side. Take note that this is a coach from 1963. It was originally used by the Redland school district in California. This is not a high end bus. This would be great for the hunting camp, used as a place to stay while working on your property, or restoring for going to car shows.” |

Vehicle description
Up for sale is my 1963 Crown Coach Super Coach. This bus was converted to a mobile home several years ago by the previous owner. It has everything you need to live on the road, at your camp, or go on vacation. I drove this bus to Mississippi from California when I purchased it.
It includes:
Electric/propane refrigerator/freezer
Propane 3 burner stove and oven
Propane water heater
Fresh water tank
Grey water tank
Connections for 2 Propane bottles with switchover valve
Small microwave
Kitchen sink
Stand up shower
Porta-potty
2 Closets and other storage compartments
2 twin size bed locations (comes with two mattresses)
The engine runs great and is a 6 cylinder Cummins turbo diesel. It is the 292 HP model. The transmission is a manual 5 speed and works well. Brakes are air brakes. There is also a nice loud air horn.
As far as what it needs, I"d personally replace the radiator. I did drive it over 3000 miles as is but just trying to be honest in what I think could use some attention. The speedometer cable also needs to be replaced. It went out on my trip home. I am selling this bus as is. It was run about once a month until I had an issue with my battery trickle charger. It currently needs 2 batteries. It has not run in 1.5 - 2 years since batteries died. All tires are holding air. There is some rust in the belt area, primarily on the passenger side. I would love to fully restore this coach, but I do not have the time. Hopefully someone can see the worth in this 50+ year old vehicle.
This coach uses commercially available truck parts. The only unique items are the body components.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a time to come check it out.
