I wouldn’t hesitate to drive her cross country tomorrow. Vehicle Details This Beautiful 1967 Crown Intercity is sure to put a smile on your face. Weather you’re looking for a blank slate to start your tiny house conversion or a vintage bus collector looking for a restoration project she’s got good bones for whatever your intended use. She has a Cummins NH743 Turbo with a 5speed Spicer. She was originally built for the Idaho National Laboratory in Arco Idaho where she shuttles workers between buildings and the reactors. After in the 80s she was bought by a church in Salmon Idaho where she transported youth on their camp outings and activities. The church added a gravity fed RV toilet and black tank. In October 2020 a family bought her and did a make shift conversion(which I have cleared out.) They toured around the Tetons, Yellowstone, and Utahs Mighty 5 doing roughly 2,300 miles. On their way back to Ohio, they burned out the clutch in Wyoming and sold me the bus. I have replaced the clutch, rebuilt the emergency brake system, adjusted the brakes, fixed all the air, and fuel leaks, replaced large sections of the exhaust pipe, and replaced all the fluids and filters. I also replaced the sun faded turn signal lenses on the rear. While the transmission was out, I had the Spicer distributor in Salt Lake go through the transmission. He says it is in tip stop shape. He replaced 2 seals which he thinks got damaged when the clutch blew apart. I’ve driven her about 200 miles since then and she runs great. I wish I had room to keep her. She does 70+ miles per hour no problem. As far as mechanics go, the only thing I would do is fix the cold weather start system. It has a wire or two hanging down from it and I didn’t want to risk plugging it in to find out if it works. When we were in the 40’s two weeks ago, she’d fire up as soon as I hit the button-Maybe 3 cranks. She hasn’t been as happy this week now that we’ve been down in the 20’s. I put a magnetic block heater on the engine pan for 30 mins and she fired right up. Cosmetically, the body is surprisingly straight. There’s only one body panel that needs straightened out. The paint is rough in spots but looks great growing down the road. There is your typical Crown rust/corrosion in the wheel wells but it’s easily fixable. There is one cracked window, but I have a window out of my 63 intercity that I can send along. The passenger windshield is cracked but I can give you the make of a guy who has two windshields available.
